Welcome to the worlds of Kay Zempel and Black Valentine Press, where I write romance with a touch of magic. When I decided to write full-time, I knew that I wanted to self-publish. I had given up my intellectual property before and this time I wanted to publish what I wanted and how I wanted. Black Valentine Press is the result of that.

 

I write stories that are a little dark, a little spicy, and a lot of fun. I'm also committed to including a diverse cast of characters because I was tired of reading about the nineteen-year old heroine falling in love with an immortal fae lord. Those stories are great but I wanted to see more heroines like me: mid/plus-size, mentally ill, and physically ill.
